Who We Are?:
Aringa Fruit Farmers cooperative society Ltd(AFFCSL) IS Located at YDDFA(Yumbe District Farmers Association) in Yumbe Town Council,1km from YTC Headquators.
The cooperative was parmanently registeresd by MTAC in march 2024 to carry out development actvities in yumbe district.
The cooperative was formed by local people as result of abundant local mangoes that always rot during fruit time.
This made Makerere University(Science Department) to conduct pilot project in Yumbe Using Pilot Processing from 2014 and 2016.The idea was supported by His Excellency the President of Uganda.
the president of uganda and this was supported through NAADS under UDC investment arm.This led to formation of AFFCSL
and made AFFCSL,UDC and FONUS to come in to tripartite agreement to from multipurpose agreement vehicle
called NileZila Ltd.The three parties established a locacal mango processing facility loctated in Lodonga Sub county,Yumbe district to operated by NileZila Ltd.

Goals and Objectives
Goals
- To protect the socio economic interests of members Yumbe and West Nile region.
- To rehabilitate aging local mango trees with improved and with modern technological practices for increased fruit output
- To ensure high quality of Local Mango produce in Yumbe and minimize post harvest loses
- To engage in sourcing, procurement and distribution of high quality inputs at affordable prices and at the right time for members District
- To have rapport with any organization with similar objectives internationally
- To provide forum for exchange of ideas among farmers and between farmers and all other bodies in the development of Local production in West Nile region
- To encourage members to always seek advice from AFFCSL Extension and the government Extension Agencies for the applications of research findings on Local Mango development
- To represent Mango farmers on all Sub counties , For a, Seminars, Trade Fairs and Exhibitions, etc

- To have significant input into all Local Governments’ policies on local mango production in Yumbe for the greater benefits of farmers
